Studio ISH — Dance Classes for Children and Young People in Amsterdam
Are you crazy about breaking, house, hiphop, or streetdance? Or do you simply want to move, learn new moves & tricks, and discover your own creativity? Then the classes at Studio ISH in Amsterdam Nieuw-West are perfect for you!
Develop Your Skills & Discover Your Own Style
During the classes, you’ll work according to the ISH philosophy. That means having fun through dance comes first. You’ll explore different dance styles and movement forms — from hiphop and streetdance to house and breaking. Along the way, you’ll learn how your body moves, improve your technique, and discover how to develop your own dance style and creativity.
Who Is Studio ISH For?
The classes are divided into two age groups:
Age: 6–9 years
Wednesday 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM · 1 hour per class
No experience needed
€120 per block (14 weeks) · €220 for the full year
Including two tickets for the Meervaart Jong Festival
Age: 10–14 years
Wednesday 5:30 PM – 7:00 PM · 1.5 hours per class
No experience needed
€140 per block (14 weeks) · €280 for the full year
Including two tickets for the Meervaart Jong Festival
*With a Stadspas you receive a 25% discount. Through the Sports & Culture Fund, participation costs can be fully covered.
When Do the Classes Take Place?
There are two blocks per year. You can register per block or for the full year.
Block 1 — Autumn 2026
Start: Wednesday, September 2, 2026
End: Wednesday, December 9, 2026
No class on Wednesday, October 14 — autumn holiday
Block 2 — Winter/Spring 2027
Start: Wednesday, January 6, 2027
End: Wednesday, April 14, 2027
No class on Wednesday, February 24 — spring holiday

The final presentation will take place during the Meervaart Jong Festival on May 29, 30, or 31, 2026.
Location
The classes take place in the makers studio at Het Talentenhuis, Meer en Vaart 290 in Amsterdam. The location is a 3-minute walk from Osdorpplein Oost tram stop and is easily accessible by bike, car, and public transport. On the day of the class, students can check in with the manager of Het Talentenhuis.
