Darius-Oriol Tamosi

Darius-Oriol Tamosi (Romania) is the son of a gymnast, but when he saw his sister’s ballet class at the age of thirteen, he was inspired to take up ballet himself. After a year of dancing in Romania, he was accepted at the Conservatório Internacional de Dança Annarella Sanchez in Portugal, where he completed his dance training. In 2023, Darius took first place in the ‘classical variation’ category at the Youth America Grand Prix in Paris. In April 2024, at the Youth America Grand Prix in New York, he won first prize in the ‘contemporary pas de deux’ category and second prize in the ‘classical pas de deux’ category.

Darius has a great passion for classical ballet and particularly enjoys dancing romantic ballets. Darius: “I am delighted and grateful to be part of the Junior Company of the Dutch National Ballet.
