A dazzling adventure, with hip-hop dance and live orchestra.
Performance
The Ballet Orchestra, in collaboration with ISH Dance Collective, is creating the musical theater performance THOR. An epic tale in music and dance based on the stories from the Edda, Nordic mythology. Musicians and dancers take to the floor together and in a swirling mass form the power of nature, the feast of the gods and the battle for the hammer of THOR. Boundaries between disciplines blur in a thrilling tale of power, deceit and friendship. Thor, son of chief god Odin, is a difficult child to raise. The lightning goddesses teach him to drink beer, gorge himself and beat up giants. From fire spirit Loki, Thor receives the wonder hammer Mjöllnir, a gift that seals their friendship for life. When the troll king Prymr steals the hammer, a great adventure begins for Thor and Loki.
Practical info workshop
Group 6, 7 and 8 elementary school
Location: at school or in the theater
Time and duration: the workshop takes place before the performance and lasts 1.5 hours
Costs: € 195, - per group (payment with Culture Card possible)
Number of participants: max. 20, multiple workshops simultaneously possible
