WORLDPRIDE X ISH

Dance Workshops | Sport Pride Festival @ Vondelpark | 25 July | 7:15 – 8:30 PM

Join us for an evening of dance during Pride Park. In two energetic workshops you'll discover a variety of street and club dance styles, including waacking and house. The workshops are led by Jade Gihai Elout.

We'll finish with an open jam where everyone is invited to dance, move and express themselves in their own way. No dance experience is required.

Silent Roller Disco | WorldPride Village @ Museumplein | 5 August | 8:30 – 10:00 PM

The Silent Roller Disco is part of the WorldPride Village on Museumplein: the central gathering place of WorldPride for art, culture and music.

For one evening, Museumplein transforms into an open-air roller disco. Skate to the music through a silent disco headset and learn a short roller disco choreography together with ISH artistic director Marco Gerris.

• Roller skates: A limited number of roller skates will be available. If you have your own skates, feel free to bring them.

Urban dance culture is deeply rooted in the history of Black, Latin and LGBTQIA+ communities. Many of the dance styles practiced around the world today originated within these communities and continue to inspire everything we do.

For more than 25 years, ISH has brought together performers and creatives from a wide range of disciplines. From our roots in Amsterdam Nieuw-West, we've built a community where people meet, challenge and inspire one another.
